It’s time to celebrate the festival of giving! Daan Utsav (Joy of Giving Week) celebrated in India between 2nd to 8th October, is a time of generosity, unity and above all happiness. Across socio-economic strata and cultural heritage, Indians all over the country give, and give whole heartedly to their family, friends, employees and fellow citizens.
Here is a chance to bring a smile on someone’s face, to make a difference in someone’s life and truly feel the joy in giving. Daan Utsav is India’s festival of giving celebrated from October 2nd to 8th every year.

Gifts to Just Born (Monday, 2nd Oct 2016 | 10am-11am | Rajajinagar)
When a woman first gives birth to a baby it is customary for people to show up at the hospital bearing gifts and good wishes. However, not every woman experiences this. Yuva Global Foundation will visit Government hospital to gift new born with new and warm clothes to see smile in the face of less privileged mother.
Sandwich Seva (Monday, 2nd Oct 2016 | 10am-11am |Maleshwaram)
We always compare our country with others and speak about traffic. Every day traffic home guards work to control traffic in pollution, instead of praising them for the work they do, we are so used to crib when they are not found in signals. With gratitude, Yuva Global Foundation will be serving snacks for the Traffic home guards this Joy of giving.
Funday Children Day (Tuesday, 3rd Oct 2016 | 9am-12pm |Rajajinagar)
Many underprivileged children are unable to find time to just have fun and be kids during their childhood — they are busy helping at home or working to support their families from a very young age. The difficulties they face, financially and emotionally, are so persistent that they barely have time or mental space to enjoy basic recreational moments, such as reading or playing with toys or watching a movie in a theater. We will take such children out for a movie this joy of giving week.
Naana Naani (Saturday, 7th Oct 2016 | 7am-5pm|Kolar)
Time spent with our grandparents is so memorable and we always waited for them to take us for a walk or park and play with them. Have we ever thought of spending time with our grandparents when we grow up? If not, its time you start spending time with them because agedgrandparents are equal to small children and they will experience the same joy as you did when you were a kid. Join us for a day outing with grandparents of our Hiteshi Mahila Maneangala.
Blood Donation (Sunday, 8th Oct 2016 | 10am-12noon | Indian Red Cross )
You don’t need a special reason to give blood. You just need your own reason. Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend. Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood some day. Some believe it is the right thing we do. Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. And you’ll feel good knowing you’ve helped change a life.
Hygiene Kits Donation (Sunday, 8th Oct 2016 | 4pm-5pm | Yuva office )
For those affected by poverty, many of the basic things we take for granted become a luxury. This Joy of giving week, Yuva Global Foundation will be distributing hygiene kit
We often delay doing an act of giving to the next day and the next and then that day does not arrive. Do something good for someone else today and see the happiness it brings on your face.
