Slum Children to get free treatment
Narayana Hrudayalaya, world’s largest paediatric cardiac hospital, has entered into a tie-up with a city-based NGO ‘Yuva Bengaluru’ to provide treatment to children living in the city slums.
Recently the hospital had successfully treated an 11-year-old girl Gayatri, diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect (hole in the heart), under Suvarna Arogya Chaitanya Scheme of the National Rural Health Mission programme, which provided free treatment for children studying in government and government-aided schools.
Yuva Bengaluru took the initiative of helping Gaythri’s family and approached the Narayana Hrudayalaya.
