Uniformity at last!

Faded shorts, torn shirts. Some white, some so called white. A few too long, a few too short. Some in shorts, some in pants. Some covered in mud, some in food. These were the characteristics of the uniforms of our children until today. We have been trying hard to provide new uniforms to all our kids for a while now and to help us achieve this, Junior Chamber Internatioal or JCI came forward to sponsor the uniforms, not only for this academic year, but also the forthcoming years. We would like to thank JCI for thier generous contribution. They managed this all the way from getting the best material for the uniforms to taking the measurements of 350 students to organizing a way to distribute the uniforms.

The event was held on the 12th of September with the blessings of the Rain gods at our DSS hall. It kick started with the introduction of JCI and Yuva Bengaluru followed by small talks from the members of JCI on how important it is to lead the change.

Uniform DistributionThe gathering in the hall included nursery kids to senior ciizens, each one awaiting to have a look at the uniforms. In a few minutes, their wishes were heard and thus the distribution of uniforms started. Each one accepted the uniform with a heart filled with gratitude and excitement and their eyes were clearly indicating this.

Our Models with JCI members

A few of them modeled for us in the new uniforms with pride. The most awaited moment for Yuva bengaluru was when our tiny tots thanked JCI by putting up a dance show for them.

Again, we at Yuva Bengaluru would like to thank JCI for their contributions and support from the bottom of our hearts. Without them, our kids would not have got what every school going child has… a UNIFORM.
