The chill of winter often brings challenges, especially for children in rural areas who brave the cold to attend school. At Yuva Bengaluru Trust, we believe that every child deserves a chance to learn in comfort, free from the hardships of the weather. With this vision, we launched our Sweater Distribution Drive on November 20th 2024 at Kalya Village School, Magadi.
A Heartwarming Launch
The event was chaired by our dedicated President, B.V. Sunil, and graced by dignitaries from the Karnataka Education Department. Their presence underscored the importance of this initiative, aimed at ensuring that children can attend school without compromising their health during the winter months.
The launch marked the beginning of an incredible journey of warmth and compassion. Seeing the children’s eyes light up as they wore their new sweaters was a profoundly moving experience, reaffirming our commitment to this cause.
Impact Beyond Numbers
What began at Kalya Village School soon grew into a statewide movement. We are proud to share that we reached 110+ schools, distributing sweaters to more than 3,000 children across Karnataka. These sweaters are more than just garments—they symbolize care, hope, and the assurance of a warmer, healthier winter for our young students.

This initiative was made possible by the relentless efforts of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors, and the support of our well-wishers. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed, be it through donations, fundraising, or spreading the word about this noble cause.
A special thanks to Roshan and Nandish, whose tireless work in packing and organizing sweaters for each school ensured that the distribution process was smooth and efficient. Their commitment and dedication were instrumental in the success of this drive.
